General Position Summary

As we continue to grow, we are seeing a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our team as the Vice President of Operations.

As the Vice President of Operations, this role will oversee the daily operations of a specific region within ALFFCo. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing operational strategies, ensuring efficient service delivery, and fostering a culture of excellence. The VP of Operations will work closely with the COO to drive business growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring high levels of efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement operational polies, procedures and a best practice.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations and legal requirements.

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with the COO and executive team to develop long-term operational strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and innovation.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance service delivery, operational efficiency, and cost management.

Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Implement and execute on building a world-class operations team for assigned region.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve financial targets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.

Client Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve client concerns and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Develop strategies to enhance client retention and attract new business.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure operational performance.
  • Regularly review and analyze operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present operational reports to the executive leadership team.

Project Management:

  • Oversee major projects, ensuring timely and successful completion within budget.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage vendor and contractor relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring service quality.

Innovation and Technology:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Implement new technologies and systems to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Promote a culture of innovation within the operations team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred. Equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 10+ years in operational management, preferably in facility management or related industry preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing large teams.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute operational plans effectively.
  • Proficient in the use of technology and software relevant to facility management operations.
  • Strong problem -solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Ability to travel nationally as required.
