General Position Summary

To be considered for this role you must live in one of the following states:  Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia or Maryland. 

As a Regional Manager employed by Alff Construction, you will be responsible for the budget and operation of the assigned region. The Regional Manager will supervise Territory Vendor Managers, Field Operations Managers, and local office staff in the assigned region. You will manage regional spending and budgets in coordination with the Area Director of Operations and corporate leadership. The Regional Manager will maintain and develop customer relationships within your region. The regional manager will need to make scheduled visits to the client location to check the quality of the work being performed and follow up on any work orders that the client is not completely satisfied with. A Regional Manager should be knowledgeable in property maintenance, familiar with industry trends, a strong leader, flexible, solution oriented, and strong communicator. The Regional Manager reports to the Area Director of Operations

This role will have sound knowledge of general construction, maintenance, and industry standards. This role will be responsible for excellent analytical, interpersonal, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, this role will have working knowledge of the industry skills and equipment and outstanding leadership skills.

This position will oversee the states of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia or Maryland.  . Must be able to work remotely and travel.

Travel (% of work period)

Travel will be required. 60% minimum. May include overnight stays.

Job Functions

  • Develop and manage regional budget
  • Regularly coordinate with peer level client representatives
  • Communicate company-wide and develop local policy and procedure based on company expectations and regional needs
  • Resolve internal and client conflicts while adhering to company policy and leadership direction
  • Understand regional trends in budget and performance and implement process improvements focused on profitability and efficiency
  • Manage and coordinate staffing with corporate office to maintain an efficient workforce while meeting relevant employment regulations and standards
  • Manage process compliance with reporting and verifying accuracy of data
  • Manage and coordinate training of staff while following company policy and standards
  • Conduct regular reviews of and develop goals for direct reports and their teams
  • Oversee and budget the region’s fleet of vehicles and equipment
  • Manage the company’s regional facilities (including any administrative staff)
  • Manage existing and develop new customer relationships to increase sales and client satisfaction
  • General oversight of the sales, scheduling, completion, and invoicing of regional work
  • Provide insight to executive team on operations or procedures for increasing efficiency, safety, and profit
  • Seek new and develop existing client opportunities within the region
  • Review, approve, and close any high value proposals and quotes for both self-performed and subcontracted work
  • Overnight hours may be required
  • Manage a safety standard set forth by Executive Leadership
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Minimum 7+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Minimum 7+ years’ experience in a relevant field such as Project Manager

Computer Skills: · Quick learning ability for new database programs, proficient navigation of communication platforms (such as GPS Mobile Application, etc.), and moderate proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs, Salesforce, Samsara, ADP.

Desired Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in construction/maintenance industry management role
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
Salary Description
$80,000 to $120,000
